Most of our day centers around computer screens, phones, or tablets.
It can be easy to forget that when you send an email or hit the “publish” button that there’s a real, live person on the other end.
We fall into a digital trap that causes us to think and talk like robots!
People constantly throw out the terms B2B and B2C. But one person cut through all of this and coined the term human-to-human.
Bryan Kramer is a renowned business strategist, global keynote speaker, executive trainer and coach. As if all that weren’t enough, he’s also a two-time bestselling author and Forbes contributor. Bryan’s the CEO of H2H Companies, an executive coaching company, and co-owner of PureMatter, a Silicon Valley marketing agency.
Nicknamed the “Zen master of digital marketing,” Bryan knows a lot about how to connect the dots between the work we do as humans, how to create a truly unique conversation with a customer, and why NFTs and cryptocurrency will change the relationships we have with others.
Three takeaways from my conversation with Bryan Kramer
Play to your strengths. “The moment somebody says, ‘What do you do?’, it’s not what you do that people care about. It the impact that you make on their world. Make a human connection because that’s what makes all the difference. Being human is your competitive advantage.”
Find places where you can build in surprise and delight. “We’re all trying to scale because we can only be in so many places at once. Look at all the different ways and places you’re putting out marketing and sales material. Look at all the touch points think about where you can truly be unique. Don’t rely on technology to do it, go old school and actually pick up the phone, send a message, schedule a Zoom call or coffee. Think about where you can add the human touch at every point.”
Design your life to avoid burnout and still make an impact. “Burnout is something we can spot ahead of time and avoid. Decide what affect you want to make on the world, then create an impact statement around that. Design your time every day so that what you do contributes to that. That’s how you decide your priorities.”
